No comments on Tumblr
I think I was so consumed by the simplicity of tumblr and the desire to start sharing learning related stuff I was coming across, I overlooked the fact that Tumblr doesn’t have commenting unlike other blog platforms.
A lot of what I’ve read about Web 2.0 leads me to believe that content and the conversation it fosters are equally important. Since Tumblr cannot foster a conversation, I am questioning the wisdom of using it.
So head over to lrnr on wordpress.
Thanks Erik for pointing this out.

Read this first if you’re planning to buy an LMS for your Co.

What I remember from the posts:
Average price per user per year for a 500 user LMS approximately 50 dollars.
Thank you Brandon Hall for giving this away free.

Someone I met at a party pointed me to this Web2.0 LMS. I don’t follow the higher ed or k12 market so I don’t quite know how to compare it to Bb. But hey..they posted a video on YouTube and seem to have the most noble intentions.

A friend called this “Clipart’s Crime against Humanity.” Touche!
p.s. It’s from an actual course that many humans were subjected to.

How did something so simple and so low-tech (paper cut outs!!) become a Web 2.0 darling! But wait…. it’s simple, easy to understand, short and on You Tube…duh!
This is really good stuff.
It reminds me of Web 1.0 darlings Xplane. Oh how many hours were spent looking at their stick figures.

Most training is worthless!!??
Via Chet: (His words)
This brief interview with Larry Prusak made me laugh out loud. This rivals some of the horrible things that Donald Norman has to say about ISD and behavior-based models of training design.
Please burn your M.A. degree at the earliest opportunity.
